The MKT-01 unit was designed for customer interaction in the Pelagian Planetary Mall. Programmed with details of every product ever made, the unit provides information to off-world customers who come to visit the only mall in the known universe that covers an entire planet. A routine product information upload for the MKT-01 unit for Sector 5 accidentally goes wrong, when a programming error reveals that the massive profits from the Planetary Mall are being used by the secretive and powerful Pelagian Merchant Guild to finance a military overthrow of the United World Government. One thousand years of peace is about to end. Can the MKT-01 unit break free of its programming to stop the approaching galactic war?

The name of the modified robot is OP-01. The programmer who designed MKT-01 discovered the significance of the information accidentally downloaded onto the robot. He then came up with 'Operation Protect', a plan to prevent the approaching galactic war. MKT-01 was modified as a part of his plan, resulting in the invention of OP-01. OP-01 sends information that was inadvertently uploaded onto its memory chip, to off-world customers. This is done through the robot's transmitters, that were boosted to enable the information to be transmitted further into the universe. The robot's body is protected with metal shield. This is to prepare it from the impending war, as well as to protect the robot from the Pelagian Merchant Guild that might try to destroy it.

This exercise has taught me how to modify robots and come up with good storylines. It was great to have been able to complete this exercise as it was not easy.
