Primitive breakdown & form - Exercise 3

The prison building is regularly shaped and evenly spaced out to show that it is regimented. The structure of the building is predictable. Unlike the prison building, Toontown is irregularly shaped. This shows that the place is full of unpredictability, which gives it a sense of fun.
Prison buildings are taller and larger, which can be intimidating and dominating, making the people in it feel small. The spartan entrances of the building is unwelcoming. Also, the windows and doors are small, disproportional to the large building. This is in contrast to the height and entrances of the building in Toontown. In Toontown, the buildings are lower, allowing people to feel welcomed. The doors are large and proportionate to the building.
The prison building stands on its own, which evokes a sense of isolation, remoteness and discourages social interaction. This feeling is enhanced by physical barriers like the high fences of the prison. Toontown buildings are clustered closer together. This gives the place a sense of community and social interaction.
